On May 24, 2026, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2026/16, imposing a second anti-dumping duty on aluminum foil (Turkish: kalınlığı 0,2 mm’yi geçmeyen, haddelenmiş fakat daha ileri bir işleme tabi tutulmamış alüminyumdan yapılmış yapraklar ve şeritler) and decided to continue imposing a 22% anti-dumping duty on a CIF basis. The Turkish tariff codes for the subject products are 7607.11 and 7607.19. The measures take effect as of the date of the announcement and remain in force for five years.
On December 21, 2013, Turkey initiated an anti-dumping investigation into aluminum foil originating from China. On July 26, 2014, Turkey issued an affirmative final determination in the case and began imposing a 22% anti-dumping duty on a CIF basis. Subsequently, Turkey conducted a sunset review, issued an affirmative determination on January 4, 2020, and extended the duty period. On December 12, 2024, Turkey initiated the second sunset review investigation in this case.
